Is It Friday Already?

This whole week's been one big blur, frankly. The sad part is I never got the pickle I wanted on Monday, but I did manage to pick up 4 bowls of soup from B&H Dairy this week, so that's good. Always a bright spot.

You knew I was going to remind you of Vanishing City 2 on Sunday - we hope you can make it. There will be tickets at the door, but it's best to reserve online - response has been very strong. Thank you bloggers! Especially WSP, Jeremiah, Grieve, and Boogie.

So, we'll see you at Dixon Place. But don't expect anybody from Bloomberg's office to be there. We heard through the grapevine that he's pissed off about these anti-luxury & gentrification meetings (and the films being shown) and has banned any city officials from attending or participating. We must be doing something right.

SPECIAL GUESTS: JUST CONFIRMED!
We're excited to hear that two of the Village's most respected and honored preservationists, activists, historians, zoning experts, and rabble-rousers will be attending Sunday. Doris Dieter and our neighbor, Isabelle Fisher, will be special guests in the audience. They should be inspiration to everyone who thinks you can't fight city hall. They've been doing it for decades and are still going strong! Isabelle just caused a ruckus last week at the hearing for the Public Theater. See her link for the story. And Doris is a legendary for her work in preserving the village. Come and say hello to them both.
